WWC Song Contest - June 11, 2008
Spent the weekend concocting a plan for a CD and companion song contest to commemorate the Wine, Women & Chocolate songwriter series (2000-2005). Would love to hear from you on possible talents undiscovered, ideas for prizes and sponsors, and suggestions on how to distribute the song contest application form. Drop me any suggestions to thegirl @ guerilladisc.com.
Fundraising 101 - June 11, 2008
Guerilla Disc is seeking individuals to SPONSOR the Dream Carnival album:
Here's how you can make a major difference in the project's funding -- it's simple, just support the pre-sale of the album. Or give a little more and select a level of support that is comfortable for you, send that sponsoring CHECK and then track our progress through this website.
Level 206 Crew $25 (the presale package)
You will receive a CD and a T-shirt (that fits and will be first available at the CD release party)!
Level 1 Backstage $65.00
You will receive a CD and a T-shirt and a Guerilla Disc Skullie and several backstage passes.
Level 2 Producer's Chair $300
This is the level for the excitable giver, as you will be invited to watch one recording session in progress. You can also choose the song you'd like to sponsor and you will be given credit for the contribution. Think about it! It takes about $500-$800 to produce a basic song with out any fancy embellishments in the lo-budget facility with musicians working for peanuts. So this is a truly valuable contribution for guerilla style productions. You will receive a CD, a T-shirt, a Guerilla Disc Skullie, several backstage passes.
Level 3 Cowbell Player (Not So Silent Investor) $500
YES THE ULTIMATE LEVEL of PARTICIPATION!!! You receive a CD, a T-Shirt, a Guerilla Disc Skullie, several backstage passes, and a credit on the website as a player, and a studio experience that allows you to DO SOMETHING like COWBELL (or whatever you're asked to do -- any good at kazoo)? This amount of sponsorship also includes an eventual return of your invested money after the CD makes a profit. YES, that's the hitch. Let's be honest here. Will it make a profit? Absolutely, it may not, so irregardless of profit, within 3 years you will receive a REFUND check. This level is basically a short-term I.O.U. for those comfortable enough to support it. If the album makes a profit a small percentage will be factored in and your investment will accrue interest from the time received until the time returned. If the album doesn't profit, the loan will be repaid in full. NO LOSS. NO INTEREST.
CHOOSE YOUR LEVEL!
Feel free to ask questions here: thegirl @ guerilladisc.com
Checks should be written to GUERILLA DISC.
Mail your sponsorship funds to:
Guerilla Disc, 1122 E. Pike Street, #684
Seattle, WA 98122.
ENCLOSE: Last Name, First Name, Steet Address and T-Shirt Size (on a recipe card if you have one would be esp guerilla of you). THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND SUPPORT!!!!
